EPLF members re-elect Ruben Desmet as President and welcome new member of the executive board, Philipp Sprockhoff

Brussels, 13 June 2025 – At its latest Annual General Meeting, EPLF, the association of European Producers of Laminate Flooring re-elected Ruben Desmet (Unilin) as President of the association and Fabian Kölliker (Swiss Krono Group) for his second term as Board member. Philipp Sprockhoff (EGGER), has been elected as new board member after the departure of Eberhard Herrmann (Classen). 

President Ruben Desmet welcomed the re-election: “It is an honour to be re-elected as President of the EPLF and continue serving an industry that is evolving with purpose and resilience. Over the past years, we have made important strides in innovation, sustainability, and advocacy — but there is still more to do for our great category. I am personally looking forward to working in this new executive Board configuration and our members to drive those joint efforts and promote the value of European-made laminate flooring across global markets, with a fresh perspective.” 

Second-time Board member, Fabian Kölliker, said: “I am thankful for the continued trust of the EPLF members. As digital innovation, sustainability, and changing market dynamics are reshaping how we work and grow, my goal remains the same: to bridge tradition with forward-thinking strategies that empower our members. I look forward to ensuring the laminate flooring sector remains agile, competitive, and aligned with Europe’s goals for greener and more affordable housing.”

I am therefore excited to bring that experience to the table and support our members in advancing innovation, sustainability, and the visibility of our sector across Europe and beyond” concluded newly elected Board member Philipp Sprockhoff. 

The Executive Board is elected for a two-year mandate by the EPLF General Assembly, the association’s highest decision-making body, which comprises all ordinary members. Chairs of Committees are elected by their respective committees.

The focus of its work revolves around research, development, standardisation and representation at international trade fairs. Its management has moved to Brussels since November 2019.
