EPLF on the Interbuild 2000: Hall 5, Stand 5863

The EPLF, Association of European Producers of Laminate Flooring, is presenting itself for the first time on the Interbuild 2000 at the National Exhibition Centre (NEC), Birmingham (U.K.) between May 21th and 25th: Hall 5, Stand 5863. The EPLF is representing all leading manufacturers of laminate flooring in Europe who are covering more than 70% of the European market. The association is aiming to create more public awareness for the quality of laminate flooring. This is also a reason why the EPLF took up a leading role in the development of the new Euro-Standard for laminate flooring, the EN 13329 which came into force on April 10th, 2000.

The EPLF sees itself as the contact partner for all questions relating to laminate flooring. To further research and development, standardisation and intense exchange with test institutes are only a few of the tasks which the EPLF and its working groups are dedicated to. On the Interbuild 2000, the most important exhibition for the building industry and trade in the United Kingdom, the EPLF focuses on informing the building industry about relevant developments in the laminate industry, on clearing up all relevant questions - in short a well of information regarding laminate flooring. The newest statistics show that Great Britain is one of the largest growth markets in Europe with nearly 50% growth rate in 1999 compared with the previous year.

The Interbuild is the fourth exhibition during 2000 on which the EPLF is represented with an information stand. Already finished events like Domotex, (Hanover/Germany), Bautec (Berlin/Germany) and Saidue (Bologna/Italy) have shown that laminate flooring, this relatively young product, has still quite an extensive information gap to fill. The great number of new contacts on these exhibitions are proof that the course the association has chartered, with its engagement on international exhibitions, is right. For the year 2001 there are the participations, besides the Domotex envisaged on Batimat (Paris, France), Decotec (Madrid, Spain), Mosbuild (Moscow, Russia) and Budma (Posen, Poland).
