New EPLF President - Ludger Schindler takes over chairmanship from Ulrich Windmöller

The EPLF, association of European Producers of Laminate Flooring (registered), has elected a new president: Ludger Schindler (42), authorized officer and sales manager of the company Meister-Leisten Schulte GmbH (Rüthen-Meiste/Germany). He was unanimously elected into office at the extraordinary member meeting in Porto (Portugal) in the end of October. Continuing their work for the association are Martin Prager (Kronotex/Heiligengrabe) and Ralf Eisermann (Akzenta Paneele & Profile/Kaisersesch). Ulrich Windmöller, who had been president since 1997, was unanimously voted honorary chairman.

There are currently 21 ordinary members of the association, which produce and sell laminate flooring. The increasing significance of the EPLF in the laminate flooring industry makes membership more and more intriguing. Nevertheless, the EPLF does not merely target producers of laminate flooring it wants to create a platform of dialogue with supplier companies as well. This group of members of the association currently includes 30 companies from raw material producers and suppliers, as well as relevant machinery producers. Recent additions are the companies Funder Industrie Ges. mbh (St. Veit/Austria), Hymmen GmbH (Bielefeld/Germany), InterFloor Group Ltd. (Rossendale/Great Britain), Recticel (Wetteren/Belgiun), Unifloor Underlay Systems (Deventer/Netherlands), and WPT Witex Polymere Technology GmbH (Detmold/Germany). Five renowned institutes for testing and inspection complete the broad range of supporting members of the EPLF.
